Why is it important?
The empirical analysis covers the period from 1992 to 2016; Besides studying the effects of decentralization on income inequality, we investigate the effects of the structure of sub-national government finance on income inequality; also, we test the validity of the Kuznets-hypothesis in CEE countries.
Perspectives
This article is a product from our joint research interest in several topics within the area of fiscal decentralization. Recently, there has been a growing interest in inequality throughout the world, so we hope that our work offers new insights on how fiscal decentralization is related with income distribution.
