What is it about?

This research was conducted in four grouped rural schools (hereafter referred to by their Spanish acronym, CRAs) in the province of Teruel in 2017. Our objectives included analyzing the views of management team members and teachers on educational leadership with a special emphasis on the rural school’s differentiating elements. This analysis suggests a set of conditions that provides a qualitative insight into management possibilities and limitations in the CRA model.

Why is it important?

Education in the rural environment is a relevant and topical issue since the tendency in many countries is to reduce rural schools, ignoring that they are the meeting point of the community

Perspectives

To promote the vision of leadership in the management teams and teachers, the research determined that they value the effort made to carry out the work and understand that both the administration and the CRAs are complex. They also appreciate the training organization of the management teams and their contents.
