What is it about?

This paper reports the findings and experiences of a cohort of Masters students taking on shared responsibility with the tutor for the evaluation of their module. The paper outlines the study details and then describes how a smaller cohort of the class selected to continue to meet past the end of the module in order to write up their experiences for publication (this paper).

Why is it important?

It is important we involve students much more meaningfully in evaluating learning and teaching. This paper does this through students taking responsibility for designing, undertaking, collating, analysing and writing up the evaluation from a Masters Course. The writing up of the evaluation for publication in an international peer reviewed journal was a collaboration between the tutor and 6 students (the students had not published before).
