What is it about?

This is a theoretical paper focused on the consideration of how to research National Qualifications Frameworks. It is situated in the context of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework and suggests a number of issues and avenues that at the time we considered useful and fruitful to pursue.

Why is it important?

It is important because it seeks to raise a number of questions for critical research into NQF and makes suggestions that at the time of writing we considered worthwhile to pursue.

Perspectives

This was a highly enjoyable paper to write as it involved collaboration with a colleague in a very different field, and it also involved a use of history which was resonant of previous studies of mine.
