Why is it important?

It is one of the few publications on rock art conservation in Zimbabwe, southern Africa or even Africa. In the past researchers have concentrated on the interpretation of the art but the art is threatened by a myriad of human and natural occurrences. It is therefore critical for researchers to provide local applications to preserve and protect the art. This research looks at factors that threatened rock art in Zimbabwe and Africa as well as ways to combat them
