What is it about?
This article discusses the impact of gun control laws on school shootings. The only gun control law found to possibly reduce the number of school shooting victims is the assault weapons ban. Although this study finds that states with assault weapons bans have fewer school shooting victims, given the rarity of such events, assault weapons bans would have no effect on the overall murder rate.

Perspectives
This article is only more data point in a rather large literature on gun control and gun violence. Most studies have found that gun control laws have limited effects on gun violence.
