What is it about?
How to teach literacy in early chilhood education is an importan subject in teaching. You can find here some ideas about this educational task. With examples of other teachers working in their classroom, it is easier the planning of your own work. How much time each teacher spend on the initial teaching of literacy and how they approach the management of their duties in classroom could be a good help for your own teaching practices.

Why is it important?
Our finding show the way seven teachers create their own personal teaching dynamics which means that over the literacy process we encounter a highly diverse range of practices across the different teachers. This could help teachers to become aware of their own teaching performance.
Perspectives
The results of this work lead us to contend that research into practices may be a powerful instrument that will first help us to understand how teaching is organised and then, secondly, help teachers to become aware of their own teaching performance, with this being the only way of changing educational processes
