Particulate Matter in Lagos Mega-City, Nigeria.

What is it about?

The work tries to assess the amount of airborne particulate matter in the four broad classes of environment in Lagos, Nigeria. The potential sources of the elemental composition of the particles were also identified. A comparison of weekday and weekend particulate loading was as well carried out.

Why is it important?

In the last 20 years, very few studies if any have compared the particulate matter (PM) loadings in the four site-classes (Residential, Marine, high Traffic and Industrial) Lagos mega-city, Nigeria.
