What is it about?
Several sequences of source rocks may be responsible for the yield and expelled and the accumulation of oil in the Yamama reservoir, and based on this geochemical study shows that the oil accumulated in this reservoir may come from different sources

Why is it important?
The study of biomarkers and carbon isotopes for oils helped to identify and distinguish the families of the oil accumulated in several units of the Yamama reservoir
Perspectives
The writing of this article was a great pleasure to include co-authors, one of them, is Iraq's leading scholars. I hope that this article, along with my other articles, will provide a clear picture of the origin of oils, their chemical properties, and economic importance, in southern Iraq
