What is it about?
MADD is an autosomal recessive metabolic disorder of fatty acid metabolism. CoQ10 is used for MADD patient treatment. We showed that CoQ10 improves mitochondrial metabolic integrity and reduces lipotoxicity by decreasing oxidative stress and inflammation.

Our findings show that CoQ10 not only improves mitochondrial function but also reduces inflammasome activation and cell pyroptosis.
Perspectives
CoQ10 is an effective treatment for patient with mitochondrial disorder. Hope this article provides the impacts of CoQ10 on the treatment of riboflavin responsive MADD.
