Why is it important?
There is a discrepancy on the effectiveness of different HIIT protocols depending on the training variables used. For example, some researchers have shown that short-duration/high-intensity HIIT is the most effective protocol, whereas others have demonstrated that long-duration/lower intensity HIIT is more effective. Thus, the present study was designed to test the hypotheses that HIIT improves markers of blood fluidity and that short-duration HIIT (30s/30s) with higher intensity induces more improvements in these variables than longer duration (4min/4min) HIIT with lower intensity.
