What is it about?
SODRE was set up in December 1929 as an independent institute to organize radio and television transmissions with the aim of fostering arts and culture throughout Uruguay. In the following years, SODRE’s activities extended and diversified rapidly, and it gradually became a highly versatile cultural center, with the acquisition of its own theater building. Chairman of the Chopin Society of Hong Kong shares with us his experience in rescuing invaluable collection of archive recordings from SODRE.
