Why is it important?
Sibling violence, in general, is understudied because of the notion that violence between siblings is natural. Even less is known about sibling sexual violence. This study highlights the importance of learning more about how survivors come to terms with their childhood experiences.
Perspectives
The hope for this article is that it brings attention to sibling sexual violence and reminds its audience that this form of violence is a public health concern.
