What is it about?
18F-FDG PET/CT is an effective predictor of therapeutic responses and outcomes in DLBCL. However its prognostic value is debated due to heterogeneous interpretation scales. This paper was intended to investigate whether the SUVmax-liver-based interpretation could be better method.

Why is it important?
Our findings show that SUVmax-liver-based criteria, using the liver uptake as a reference to evaluate PET/CT, was superior to Deauville 5-PS and %DSUVmax criteria. This interpretation can improve prognostic accuracy of interim and posttreatment PET.
Perspectives
Writing this article was a great pleasure as it shows value in daily practical clinical application. Our work investigated a better interpretation of PET and we can use this method to interpret interim and end-of-treatment PET more precisely.
