What is it about?

The essential oils of Thymus serrulatus and Thymus schimperi from Ethiopia were extracted using hydrodistillation. Based on ethobotanical information, the hepatoprotective activity of the essential oils was tested in vivo in rats. Furthermore, the chemical composition of each essential oil was determined using GCMS and NMR.
