What is it about?

Two important mathematical tools, namely, vector calculus and differential equations dominate the domain of computational electromagnetics. These two tools, though powerful, are not always needed for practical modelling of electromagnetic problems. In this paper, we are presenting an alternative approach using algebraic topology. We discuss some of the important advantages of this approach over other mainstream methods and highlight opportunities and directions for future research.
