Role of Non Government Organisations in the Development of Tribe

What is it about?

It is to explain the initiatives of Non Government Organisations for the benefit or development of the tribe, locally called as Sugalis, in Andhra Pradesh, South Indian state.

Why is it important?

Of late, it is realised that state alone can not fulfill all the needs of the poor and marginal communities of India. Hence, there is a requirement of NGOs to take part in the development operations across India and most importantly for the tribal people of India. Hence, it is very important that NGOs have a greater role to play along with the state in order to address the issues of the poor until not addressed.
