Why is it important?

Our findings show that there is not a unique view of European spatial planning, nor it is useful to discuss what it is the right one. On the contrary, European spatial planning is differently perceived and understood across Europe, according to its capacity to challenge the established technical and administrative traditions. Overall, the EU territorial governance derives from the evolving combination of these various perspectives.
