Why is it important?
Our finding point in two directions. 1) Teaching people with disabilities about social tactics may improve their ability to interact socially, hence improve their quality of life. 2) Teaching children in e.g. schools about how people with functional limitations can by challenged by their social relations may reduce the need of social tactics among people with functional limitations in the future.
Perspectives
Writing this article was a great pleasure as it was part of my PhD-project. The article has given a voice to a diverse group of people with chronic illness and disability who experience functional limitations.
