What is it about?
Comparison of standard treatment (manual lymphatic drainage [MLD]) with combination of MLD on a low-frequenccy vibrotherapy table.

Why is it important?
Shows that MLD does not cause any signifcant short-term therapy effects in women with a long history of lipedema. However, when combined with this new virbotherapy, large improvements are found with regard to lipedema sizes and symptom related quality of life.
Perspectives
A previous study testing the same technoilogy involving chronic pain patients showed similar results in symptom improvement. It appears that this new vibrotherapy greatly benefits patients treated with conventional therapies applied in physiotherapy.
