Why is it important?

- The pKr differed from the polysaccharides produced by bacterial strains. Very few bacterial bioflocculants have been reported to have xylose in their structure. - pKr is a β-type hétéropolysaccharides containing some proteins. -pKr was found to have good thermal stability, require additional cations and was shown to be effective for the removal ofsome anionic dyes. It was also suitable to be applied in acidic and neutral circumstances.

Investigate the relationship between the degradation of n-alkanes by the strain and it's capacity to produce pKr bioflocculant
