the paper propose a systematic approach to apply a subset of TRIZ tools in conceptual design processes. The proposal has been applied to an industrial case study, showing that the proposed approach led to improved results.

Perspectives
We spent lot of efforts to write this paper, mainly because of the absence of a standard view of TRIZ tools in literature. Accordingly, one of the main contributions of this paper, is to propose a systematic way to exploit the potentialities of TRIZ in engineering design contexts.
