What is it about?

This paper introduces an alternative approach to model electromagnetic problems without the need for differential equations and vector calculus. We can directly derive the discrete (algebraic) equations which can be easily modeled in a computer environment. We introduce the topic to engineers and applied physicists in a manner that is easy for them to follow.

Why is it important?

It is rather a provocative paper giving an alternative perspective to modelling electromagnetic problems. The approach is radically different to conventional methods knowing in computational electromagnetics. Introduces students and researchers to the rich world of algebraic topology.
