" I employed a theory-dependent positivist philosophy consisting of a deductive literature review to assist in identifying the common factors and then using the hypothesis testing approach (Gill, Johnson, & Clark, 2010) to determine the significance of the treatment condition and predictors on the dependent variable MFTB score. This means that I used the literature to identify important theories, concepts, or factors, and then tested them in a study. An inductive ideology is usually interpretive because the researcher observes or tests participants, and then tries to develop a new theory or cite supporting literature to describe the phenomena that have occurred."
