What is it about?

Josiah Strong is caricatured as an Anglo-Saxon imperialist for his 1885 "Our Country." But when he died, he was known as the guy who coined "safety first" in promoting factory safety. This paper explores Strong's 20th century work on Progressive Era social reforms through three different periodicals focused on labor rights.
