Why is it important?

It is a health-focused view of coping and not using a deficit or illness approach. Discovery of a successful strategy lead to a mother feeling greater confidence in the efficacy of her selected method, calmer, and in greater control.

Perspectives

Becoming a new mother doesn't come with an instruction book! However, I've been privileged to be provided with a group of well mothers' insider perspectives of methods recommended to help feel in control. In order to achieve a true sense of increasing control over her own health, it is recommended a mother prioritize her own personal needs in addition to meeting the needs of others.
