We have shown that combination of l-carnitine and vitamin C can inhibit oxidative stress effect of cisplatin on renal function

Why is it important?
Our findings show that both l-carnitine and vitamin C can boost animals immune system and as well prevented renal damage effect of anticancer drug cisplatin. Thus these can be use in human for the treatment of acute renal injury
Perspectives
This article lead to understanding of antioxidant and antiinflammatory beneficial of l-carnitine and vitamin C as one of it cofactor.
