Why is it important?

Since many people use aminoacids supplementation to enhance physical performance it seems reasonable to know its effects com molecular and metabolic aspects.

Perspectives

Long-term leucine supplementation can enhance citrate synthase activity by itself in sedentary individuals and glycogen content when combined with exercise; however, it does not improve endurance performance or prevent Akt and mTOR exercise-induced inhibition.
