Why is it important?

Clubroot on canola is spreading in western Canada and has the potential to cause complete crop loss in highly infested fields. The discovery of clubroot on canola in Ontario means that growers will have to increase the length of crop rotations and try to find canola cultivars that are resistant to clubroot and well adapted to Ontario growing conditions
