What is it about?

Professor Hansson kindly rejected my argument concerning the moral need for a switch from motorcars to motorcycles, giving me an opportunity to emphasize the point of moral improvement when one is willing to make or even consider the above mentioned switch.

Why is it important?

There is more than one way to improve road traffic safety. Some are expected to have a great consequences but does not concern moral decisions (for instant: Alcohol Interlocks, Intelligent Speed Limiters and more). A switch to motorcycles not only is, though counter intuitively, expected to yelled a great improvement in road safety but also is of moral significance.

Perspectives

The many moral issues of road traffic are still mostly untouched by professional philosophers. More than 'touching' one of this issues, this article is a calling for more widespread philosophical consideration of road ethics.
