What is it about?
The paper explains design of planar dual band dual linear polarized microstrip antenna. The antenna element has two ports for each polarization at one frequency band and two ports for each polarization at another frequency band. It also explains the design of planar array using this element to achieve larger gain for use in airborne applications.

Why is it important?
The novel design of antenna element with dual band operation and suitable for large array design. Good port to port isolation and cross-polar isolation suitable for Synthetic Aperture Radar Applications.
Perspectives
It was very challenging to report this article since this was new antenna configuration and difficult to communicate in words. The queries from the reviewers helped us a lot to put our work in right way.
