What is it about?

We describe how we are leveraging the systems we use at Brunel University London to support open access to record and extract information on researcher outputs to help our institution measure how open our research is, demonstrate how our we meet funder and government open access requirements, and shape our strategy and services for supporting researchers.

Why is it important?

Meeting open access requirements is resource intensive for everyone involved - from researchers to the scholarly communications staff. Finding ways to reduce the impact on resources while being able to track compliance with requirements easily in real time, is hugely important in a competitive research environment.
