What is it about?

For a counsellor to successfully address cultural issues in counselling it is important to be aware of the power of ideas about culture presently shaping their society. In Aotearoa New Zealand ideas about cultural safety have become very powerful and can both enable and restrain practice. This article considers these issues as experienced by a counsellor from a dominant cultural group
