What is it about?

Strata (also known as condominium or community) title is a form of property title that is increasingly popular in Australia but it also brings with it many challenges and impacts that planners do not yet understand. Strata title provides a key property title mechanism to deliver higher densities and mixed use developments but at the same time has potentially significant impacts on communities' sense of place and local governance and may even promote a retreat from active community engagement.
