What is it about?
It is about how a university researcher that comes from a practice base can find it difficult to get their work published. The paper discusses the 'translation' that needs to happen to make this work acceptable to academic journals.

Why is it important?
This work is important as this is an issue across all academic disciplines where practice-based academics are working. It highlights that universities need to pay attention to the recruitment and use of skilled translators at the academic/practice boundary.
Perspectives
What I enjoyed about this process is that the writing of it reflected it its subject matter. Collaboration and cross-border translation used to write about collaboration and cross-border translation.
