Why is it important?

Radio is a very old medium for transmitting information and so on. Bangladesh Betar is the oldest electronic media of Bangladesh. There are so many alternative media like television, departmental specialized experts for the diffusion of farm technologies. Except radio all the mechanisms are very expensive. But for a poor country like Bangladesh radio is very cost effective at all respects. But the fact is that the listeners are decreasing to a great extent that raise the question of the effectiveness and rationality of the farm programs on Bangladesh Betar because there is an investment of a huge amount of national budget. If the programs are ineffective, the investment is irrational.
