What is it about?

This article is for a general audience and is based upon lecture to law students. It explains the physics of climate change and how they are manifested, and goes into a numbers of examples, as well as issues for how to deal with climate change.

Why is it important?

It is useful for many people and especially those who are predisposed to dismiss climate change out of hand. The fact is that climate change is "the straw that breaks the camels back syndrome" . It does not cause events: the weather and natural climate variability do that, but climate change makes them more extreme and things break, burn or people die!

Perspectives

This paper forms the basis of some law suits.
