The purpose of this study was to analyse the effect of players’ dismissals on the outcome of attacks in elite futsal matches, and to establish the performance profile of the attacks made in numerical superiority by elite futsal teams

Why is it important?
The analysis of goal effectiveness during players’ dismissals showed the importance of contextual-related variables to constrain team behaviour and performance. Such information is extremely relevant for coach intervention and definition of game strategies during the game.
Perspectives
This is my first article. I had the opportunity to work with great professionals and learned a lot in the process. I think getting sports and science together is the key to improve athletes’ performance.
