What is it about?

The effect that anonymous marking of student coursework has upon students thoughts about fairness of the marking. It also looks at how the marking affects the students perceptions of feedback and their relationships with their lecturers.

Why is it important?

it is important because numerous students unions and students themselves have campaigned for marking of coursework to be anonymously marked however the effect this has upon the feedback generated by the marker and subsequent interactions between marker and student is rather unknown. this research addressed such issues.
