Laboratory of Terrestrial Mobility

LMT seeks to discover, seed and foster innovative programs to achieve intelligent vehicles outcomes at large scale, providing significantly contribution to the society, increasing road safety and developing a more efficient mobility, including to elderly people and handicapped. Several actors of the civil society are cooperating in this proposal. LMT aims to act in the frontiers of knowledge, preserving a multidisciplinary approach. Its stakeholders will include all levels of government, public sector agencies, private sector companies and industry associations. In this context, LMT work will include the provision of consulting services to private companies and public entities, as well as collaboration with research organizations to improve the embedded technology and to ensure a safety insertion of the intelligent vehicle into the multimodality transport system. Beyond this, LMT aims to position itself as a major representative of the Brazilian strategy to the development of policies, strategies and plans around intelligent vehicles.
