What is it about?

More and more people are sending emails from their mobile phones. Typically, attached to the bottom of every email sent from a mobile phone is a signature line indicating that it was sent from a mobile device (e.g., "Sent from my iPhone"). We examine how people respond to grammatical errors made in emails with and without the "Sent from my iPhone" signature. We find that the mobile device signature can eliminate receivers' negative reactions to poor grammar and maintain the sender's credibility.
