What is it about?
Segregation trends in Athens during the 2000s combine the dominant tendency of de-segregation with the increase of segregation in particular types of residential areas. The changing residential patterns of detailed occupational categories between 2001 and 2011 are used measure these different trends.

Why is it important?
The complexity of forms and processes of segregation indicates the complexity of its impact and the complexity of its impact indicates that its confrontation in terms of regulation policies needs much more than the interpretation of the ways global forces are producing segregation.
