What is it about?

Desire is a central feature of human being, and therefore of central interest to psychoanalysis. This essay discusses two of the seminal figures in psychoanalysis, Wilfred Bion and Jacques Lacan in relation to their theories of human desire. This paper investigates these theoretical perspectives, their similarities and differences, and applies these views to psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis.
