What is it about?
Viet Nam War POW experience of USAF aviators compared to controls
Featured Image
Why is it important?
Surprisingly many of the POWs initially upon repatriation endorsed a benefited response to imprisonment and torture by the Viet Namese when compared to their controls. Over time the controls esteemed the experience more and the POWs were frustrated by the impact on their careers and family life
Perspectives
We were surprised and moved by the POWs upon their repatriation experience and claim of a benefited response and again later after long term follow up of both controls and POWs where the Controls esteemed their combat experience and POWs struggled with their repatriation experience.
