Plywood which made by Soy-Based, Tannin-Modified Adhesives can durable in humid condition

What is it about?

Tannin is an important natural modifier for soy-based adhesive. we have shown for the first time that the tannins can improve adhesion properties of plywood which bonded by soy-based adhesive as well as water resistance. We have used different methods and instruments such as TGA (Thermogravimetric analysis), TMA (Thermomechanical analysis) and MALDI-ToF to confirm the chemical reactions between tannin extracts and soy amino acids.
