Why is it important?
The traditional POE studies assume that office workers are sitting at the same desk. So the methods of POE aren't useful for flexible workplaces. We proposed a new barcode tracking method for the POE studies in activity-based working environments and/or flexible workplaces.
Perspectives
The barcode tracking POE method helps us to understand if the office workers are mobile or not, which type of workers prefer to work together, if gender is a predictor for workplace choice.
