Why is it important?

The aim of this systematic review was to (1) examine the social and political dimensions of internal displacement to inform policy and practice to better meet the needs of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Uganda; and (2) evaluate the advances made in addressing IDPs’ needs and their protection.

Perspectives

This research piece provides readers with synthesised information and provides in-depth understanding of the drivers of internal displacement. It is a great resource for policy makers, practitioners and scholars of internal displacement. It is a result of a fantastic collaboration with my co-authors who are established public health researchers.
