Why is it important?
It is feasible to use the cement stabilized macadam-gangue mixtures for road base. More importantly, it performed well in practicability as well as economy and can be widely applied.
Perspectives
This paper just proposed a mixture ratio design for reference. However, when other mixture ratio design proposals are to be conducted, here are some suggestions: 1) According to several researches, most coal gangue from different places of production has larger crushing values. Therefore, it should be coarse aggregate not coal gangue to act as skeleton because of the larger crushing value of coal gangue. 2) Coal gangue is supposed to be fine aggregates to fill in the void between coarse aggregates.
