What is it about?
The study aimed to evaluate the effect of placing neonates at various levels with respect to the placenta before clamping the umbilical cord. We determined its effect on the hemoglobin level and the risk of anemia in neonates in later life.

Why is it important?
There have been a very few studies that evaluated the effect of neonatal positions with respect to placenta on the short and long term outcomes of the baby.
Perspectives
Ours was a robust study with a large sample size. We focused only on the effect of gravity on placental transfusion.
