What is it about?

When Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika announced in February 2019 that he would seek a fifth term, the people took to the streets in protest. The protests eventually resulted in the president's resignation. Language and Culture played a crucial role in the early stages of the protest.

We usually analyse events like the Algerian protests through political, socio-economic, and historical lenses. But we can reach a better understanding of the situation from a cultural perspective.
